IAG 600 Series FA20 (10:5:1 Compression Ratio) Short Block 13-21 BRZ / 13-16 FRS / 17-21 GT86

The IAG 600 Short Block is designed for stock or modified FA20 Subaru BRZ/86/GT86 engines that require a stronger foundation to support higher cylinder pressures from aftermarket turbo kits or performance modifications. Built to handle increased load, it features IAG Spec H-Beam forged connecting rods and race-grade bearings, providing strength and reliability where OEM rods and pistons fall short.

Each short block starts with brand-new FA20 engine case halves, bored and honed to 86.1mm, then assembled with a 2015+ Subaru FA20 crankshaft and matched to ACL or King race main bearings. The IAG 600 Short Block includes IAG Spec H-Beam rods with ARP2000 rod bolts, ACL or King race rod bearings, and JE FSR 86.1mm forged pistons, all sealed with OEM main case bolts and sealant.

To ensure optimal performance and reliability, internal oil passages are carefully inspected and modified for increased flow. The 2618 T6 alloy JE pistons are lightweight and strong, featuring asymmetrical skirts to reduce mass and friction while improving flame travel. Secured with carbon steel wrist pins and Tru Arc locks, these pistons run at a 10.5:1 compression ratio—ideal for higher-boost applications within the block’s power rating.
