South Bend Drag racing clutch package is built to handle heavily modified cars and designed to function according to the specific needs and abuse of the 1/4 and 1/8 mile track. The pressure plate is SFI approved Race Cover engineered to disengage with less pedal travel, ultimately shortening the shift time to produce faster numbers down the drag strip. The Friction discs have a puck design, which will reduce the rotational mass and are assembled with all high carbon components for maximum strength. South Ben uses Graphite impregnated Ceramic friction material perfectly suited for drag racing due to its maximum friction co-efficient, rapid heat dissipation and abrupt engagement characteristics. Requires a Single Mass Steel Flywheel to be included with each kit when the original design is Dual Mass Flywheel. Recommended for drag racing, pulling, drifting.

 

The stage two Endurance clutch system features a precision balanced pressure place for a vibration free feel at high RPM's. The pressure plate fulcrum has been altered for a positive disengagement and quicker shift response. South Bend's Dual Dampened disc design is made hybrid with a full face Feramic (Sintered Iron) on the flywheel side and high metal organic lining on the pressure plate side which provides accurate control when acceleration through corners. The Stage Two Endurance clutch is recommended for street driving with an emphasis on Rally and Endurance racing and should be paired with a Single Mass flywheel for its full potential.
